*Marin Waterfalls including: Carson Falls, Cascade Falls, Cataract Falls, Steep Ravine Trail, Stair Step Falls, and Dawn Falls. Best time to visit is in the winter months for high flow (December through March).


Also, Burney Falls same months. McCLoud Falls in May due to snow.


April 15 -17th (Weekend)
Mossbrae Falls (Over-night)
Rating: Easy hike.
Description:
Short 1.4 mile hike up train tracks to dramatic falls that leaks from a giant cliff wall. Easy hike. Overnight stay at Dunsmuir Lodge. Visit Burney Falls & Hedge Creek Falls.

*Note: Best time is in January - March (high flow time)

April 22nd-24th (Weekend)
Uvas Canyon Hike (local day trip).
Rating: Easy hike.
Description:
Short day hike to see 2-3 local falls including Mertyle Falls, Black Rock Falls, and Granuja Falls. Hiking distance of 1-3 miles. This is an easy hike.

*Note: Best time is in winter for high flows. Also March and April.

April 29th – May 1st (Weekend)
Grouse Falls (Day trip) or Steep Ravine Trail
Rating: Easy hike.
Description:
Either a Hike up the famous Steep Ravine Trail in Marin or drive out to Grouse Falls near Auburn. Both hikes are fairly easy. We will stop for lunch on the way back.

*Note: Sierra melt in this area is slow. Probably best times are going to be late May and June.

May 7th – 9th (Weekend)
Hike to Fern Canyon or Goat Rock.
Rating: Easy
Description: Hike to the famous Fern Canyon. A massive canyon covered with millions of different ferns! Easy hike to falls. The hike is 2 miles round trip. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

*Gate was still closed in late April. There is a small stream cars must cross to reach trail head. Prior to April requires 4 wheel drive.Best time in April and May.

May 13th – 15th (Weekend)
Tokopah Falls Hike
Rating: Easy
Description:
Hike to Tokopah Falls in Sequoia National Park. Hike is around 3.6 miles total. This is a five star waterfall and hike. This is one of the widest and most powerful falls in California. A real show stopper!

May 20th – 22nd (Weekend)
Hike to Coal Canyon falls.
Rating: Easy
Description:
This is a hike to a real interesting falls. The falls drops 164 ft. right off of a cliff. Easy 2 mile hike to the canyon and falls from the Cherokee parking area.

*Note: The trick is to visit after a rain storm in March or Mid April. That combines wild flowers with good falls flow. Some flowers in June, but falls in non-existent.

May 27th -29th (Weekend)
Punch Bowl & Stafford Falls (Oregon Trip Overnight)
Bagby Hot Spring, Columbia River Gorge (Oneonta Falls) Fairy Land Falls, Ramona falls.
Rating: Easy hike.
Description: Hike up the world famous Eagle Creek Trail to see Punch Bowl Falls. Visit Stafford Falls, Ramona Falls, and Fairy Land Falls. The hike is 1-2 miles. To Tunnel Falls is 7 miles.

Camp 4 & Alder Slabs or Wampama & Rancheria Falls
Rating: Easy to moderate hike.
Description: Short 1 mile hike to one of the best water slides in Sequoia National Park.

Tar Creek or Pinnacle National Monument (Condor sightings)
Rating: Easy to moderate.
Description: Hike to a world famous swimming hole.

Bristlecone Pines, Tufas & Fly Geyser
Rating: Easy
Description: Photography the world famous Fly Geyser featured in National Geographic Magazine. If time permits we will also visit the Bristlecone Pines and Tufas.

July 1st-3rd (Weekend)
Tuolumne River & Preston Falls
Rating: Easy hike.
Description: Kick off the swimming hole season with a trip to the Tuolumne River and Preston Falls. The hike to this classic rated swimming hole is about 3.0 miles. Optional hike to Preston falls another 1.2 miles (8.4 miles total trip).

Paradise Pools or Lady Bug Falls
Rating: Easy to moderate hike.
Description: Short 1-3 mile hike to one of the best water slides/secret swimming holes just outside Yosemite National Park.

July 8th -10th (Weekend)
Tenaya Lake & Cloud’s Rest Hike
Rating: Strenuous
Description: 12 mile hike to one of the best views in Yosemite. A spectacular hike for anyone! Plan on taking a swim in Tenaya Lake at the end of the hike.

Buck’s Bath & Secret Swimming Hole

Description: Hike to a secret swimming hole and falls. The hike is about 6 miles.

Seven Falls Hike
Rating: Strenuous
Description: 1 mile hike to the world famous seven falls. This is seven waterfalls all stacked on top of each other like a wedding cake! One of the best falls of the summer. Don’t miss it!

Curtain Falls & Hike
Rating: Strenuous
Description: 5 mile hike to the world famous Curtain Falls. The falls are over 40 ft. high and 100 ft. wide with a massive swimming hole at the bottom! Those of you who missed Feather Falls last year will not want to miss this one!

Pot #3 & Chilnualna Falls  
Rating: Easy.
Description: Awesome swimming hole featured on the cover of “Day Trips with a Splash” by Pancho Doll. Join use on a 1.2 mile hike to one of the best swimming holes in California. Beautiful tubs carved out of granite with flowing whirl pool and falls. Don’t miss it! Optional further hike to the Chilnualna Falls is fairly long and strenuous (8 miles round trip).

University Falls or Brush Creek
Rating: Easy
Description: Hike to the best water slides in Northern, CA.

Grizzly Lake Falls Hike or Candy Rock
Rating: Strenuous
Description: Amazing hike to some awesome falls. This is a 10 mile round trip hike. One of the best hikes of the summer!

Homestead Crater Pool “127 hours movie”.
Rating: Easy
Description: Come swim with us in one of the only indoor heated craters! This was where the incredible pool scene was photographed in the movie 127 Hours!

Fifth Water Canyon Hot Spring or Terwilliger Hot Springs.
Great hot springs with nearby waterfalls.
